Why cant they hear my baby's heartbeat ?

Don't worry about it, sometimes those dopplers can't pick up a heart beat until about 12 weeks. The baby is hidden deep in your pelvis right now. With an ultrasound it'll be much easier to see and hear the baby. They probably just want to make sure you are as far along as they think. early ultrasound is pretty good for this.
