Why did mod the sims ban my IP Address, i did nothing!?

The FIRST time i ever tried visiting mod the sims, a message popped up that said my IP address was banned, but i had never used mod the sims before! So i did nothing wrong! I like downloading stuff for the sims 2, so i really want to go on mod the sims, but i've tried a million times and i can't. This is a used computer that i got a few months back, perhaps i was mistakenly banned?
