Why are celebrities becoming freaks?

Some deliberately creates a bad image to be known and be given media exposure. Some because that's how they become famous and will remain famous. While other I guess because they are famous there are media people who might mis represent. Others probably break down because of the pressure to meet a image, lack of privacy, need to remain on top. They snap.
