Would micro-hydro be feasible in a remote, obscure area with no power lines in the vicinity?

hypothetically lets say that i find a nice mountain stream with a large head (vertical gradient) and a constant flow rate, would i be able to power a treehouse or cabin off-grid using the necessary equipment (turbines, inverters, charge controllers, batteries)?
