Understand Had you gone to your health practitioner during normal working hours he would have charged you an office visit 40 -60 bucks, refered you to the hospital for xray 150-350 bucks and had a nurse put a splint on your sprained ankle for 200-300 bucks and a prescription of pain killer for around 20- 50 bucks plus the doctors time on the signature of 200-300; Best case 710 bucks worse case 1060 but for some reason you chose the emergency room----what gives?
